Brandon Stricker is co-founder of Big Green Zero and serves as Chief Science
Officer. He has been engineering technology systems since age 12 when he
built his first geothermal heat pump using junk parts.
Recognizing Arizona’s potential to assume national leadership in solar energy
innovation, Brandon relocated to Phoenix in 2002. While working with a number of leading green energy organizations (from 2002 through 2007) he became increasingly aware of the unique factors that impact alternative energy systems in the challenging Arizona environment. He also became increasingly uncomfortable with selling and installing systems that are not optimized for this unique environment.
During 2009 Brandon co-founded Big Green Zero with the goal of continuously researching and testing state-of-art (but readily available) green energy components and integrating them into commercial and residential systems that provide superior performance at lower costs. Simplified Solar Solutions has been researching, designing and fabricating state-of-art green energy systems optimized for Arizona’s unique climate, topography and construction techniques since 2008.
In addition to developing better green energy systems for Arizona, Brandon has also has endeavored to make both the residential and commercial installation process faster, more consistent and less expensive.
Brandon shares Dr. Bob Roth’s strong dedication to renewing urban environments and energizing Arizona's economic development through empowering green energy and related small businesses and by preparing America’s green energy workforce to make urban renewal and economic development happen.
Brandon’s academic credentials include an associate degree in Industrial Electronics from Montana State University at Helena, a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Montana State University at Bozeman and a B.S. in Construction Engineering from Montana State University at Bozeman.
